In the ZigBee network, three network roles are defined, namelyCoordinator (Network Coordinator Node), Router (Network RouterNode), and End Device (Network Endpoint Node).

Coordinator:

Responsible for the establishment of the WPAN Formation and the ShortAddress.

Router (network router node):
Responsible for finding, establishing and repairing the Routing Path andforwarding the data package. It can also configure the Short Address tothe child node.

End Device:
You can only choose to join the already formed network, which isgenerally used for data acquisition devices.
